Face Masks

conniekiko face masks are created with love and gentle care, mostly from a special home collection of Marimekko fabric, and recently including gorgeous ones made from Centinelle cotton-silk, furoshiki textiles hand-printed in Japan, tenugui textiles designed and dyed in Tokyo, and Nooworks "bandanas-for-nice-people" (more pictures to come). They are shared with my friends & family with a big heart full of gratitude and compassion, with the wholeness of my spirit & soul wishing for protection, health, safety, calm, nourishment and solidarity for all, remembering our interconnectedness & shared humanity during this tragic pandemic and tumultuous times.

A few rare pieces pictured below are made from a vintage Japanese upcycled yukata, and Japanese white cotton purchased during a trip to the south of Taiwan. Connie spent several months of her childhood living in Japan with her family and extraordinary community of friends & relatives, so she feels a sense of tenderness toward Japanese culture; the fabric evokes joy and a longing for home in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kamakura.
